Castlebar Counselling & Therapy Centre
In response to the growing demand for both therapy services and professional training in the West of Ireland, Castlebar Counselling & Therapy Centre opened in September 2002. As an Associate of Dublin Counselling & Therapy Centre, this Centre offers similar client services and training, and maintains the same humanistic ethos.
Clinical Services
Counselling and psychotherapy services are offered to individuals, couples, families and groups. For those whose circumstances require, sessions are offered at a low cost.
Training
The Centre offers the Dublin Counselling & Therapy Centre Professional Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (4 Year Programme). The academic year runs from January to December with a summer break.
A one year Foundation Course in Counselling and Psychotherapy Skills is also offered at the Centre. The purpose of this course is to help those who are working in medical, educational, pastoral and other situations where such skills would be helpful. Some people also undertake this course to assess whether they wish to pursue a full professional training.
